The Arrowwood Resort has been a wonderful venue and several attendees brought their families for the weekend and made it a mini vacation. There was plenty of great food and door prizes at the social event. Our vendors were again very generous with their support in the exhibit area. It is this organizational structure that allows for appropriate channeling of local needs to the national level and national activities and programs back to the individual members. ASCLS Region V 2014 Fall Symposium as Management and Leadership. As required by the ASCLS Bylaws, an individual must hold membership at the state and national levels. ASCLS-HAWAII also sponsors an annual continuing education meeting in October of each year. Workshops and seminars are sponsored to provide continuing education. ASCLS-HAWAII produces a newsletter, Kokonut Wireless Nius, to facilitate communications among its members. For it is the voice of the member of ASCLS that will drive the Society into the future. Within ASCLS-HAWAII, members are able to discuss local and statewide probl ems, compare and contrast issues, standards and methodologies of their respective laboratories, and stimulate local/regional interest in the profession. The ASCLS-HAWAII is a part of ASCLS Region X, which include Arizona, California, and Nevada's Societies for Clinical Laboratory Science. I want to start by saying a huge MAHALO to our laboratory teams working to care for our patients during this pandemic.
